About the Scholarship

Where Engineering Meets Compassionate Care

The Cody Moxam Scholarship honors Cody Andrew Moxam’s commitment to mental well-being, mindfulness, recovery, and compassionate healthcare. Cody’s background spans psychology, neuroengineering, and clinical neuroscience, with research contributions at the University of Arizona, Johns Hopkins University, and the John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu.
His work reflects a holistic view of health, one that recognizes the deep connection between scientific innovation, mental wellness, community support, and human flourishing. Honoring Cody Moxam

Cody Moxam is a physician-scientist in training pursuing his MD/PhD in Biomedical Engineering and Neuroengineering at the University of Arizona, Tucson College of Medicine. He holds a Master of Science from Johns Hopkins University, where he developed a real-time EEG-based brain-state decoder for closed-loop neuromodulation under Dr. Nitish Thakor.
